We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous-Chef to join our high-end Italian restaurant, VENTUNO, which will soon open on the 21st floor of the Ruby-Emma Hotel in Amsterdam. You will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the production of high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant's top-notch standards. Responsibilities

• assist the Executive Chef in menu development and kitchen operations;
• oversee and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation;
• ensure quality and consistency of dishes, and assist with menu changes as needed;
• maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations;
• assist in ordering and managing kitchen inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and cost control;
• collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and dining experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Sous-Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant;
• leadership and management skills;
• knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and menu development;
• ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment;
• organizational and communication skills;
• a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
