We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our high-end Italian restaurant, VENTUNO, which will soon open on the 21st floor of the Ruby-Emma Hotel in Amsterdam. You will assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high food and beverage quality standards. Responsibilities

• support the Manager in managing the restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling,
• budgeting, and financial reporting;
• ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere;
• oversee the food and beverage offerings, ensuring quality standards are met and menu items are consistently prepared and presented;
• collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of food and beverages;
• supervise and train staff, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and development;
• 0maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations;
• handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner;
• participate in planning and executing promotional and marketing activities to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.

Requirements

• proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a high-end restaurant or lounge setting;
• leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team;
• interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers;
• knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge;
• ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
• ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
